Advent: Strengthen the Weary Hands is a photography series commissioned by Episcopal Charities Chicago that explores the themes of hope, courage, and divine presence through the lens of the Advent season. Inspired by Isaiah 35:3–4, the project reimagines the nativity narrative through symbolic portraiture of women from diverse cultural backgrounds, highlighting Mary’s role as a vessel of faith, strength, and obedience. The series was exhibited during the Christmas season to invite viewers into reflection, empowerment, and anticipation.
