the 7 stages of grief
THE SEVEN STAGES OF GRIEF is a narrative-driven visual project I concepted and directed to examine grief within the context of racial injustice. I translated each stage into symbolic visual language, using portraiture, atmosphere, and emotional expression to guide viewers through a cohesive story of loss and processing.
The project was later commissioned by Creative Spirits Behavioral Health as a therapeutic tool for grief workshops supporting families affected by racial trauma, including those connected to the loss of Breonna Taylor. The work demonstrates how intentional creative direction can bridge art, advocacy, and healing through a unified visual system.
Role: Creative Director, Art Director, Photographer, Makeup Artist
